Class B Trailer Mechanic/Maintenance
Position Descripton
Division: Diesel Shop
Department: Diesel Shop
Position Reports To: Service Manager/Lead Trailer Mechanic

General Summary
Complete preventative maintenance and general repairs on trailers to maintain safety of fleet.

Job Functions and Responsibilities
  1. Complete preventative maintenance.
  2. Perform brake jobs.
  3. Perform general repairs.
  4. Weld occasionally.
  5. Mount and dismount tires.
  6. Keep work area clean.
  7. Complete special projects as requested.
Working Conditions
  • Environment - Diesel shop, odors and noises associated with diesel shop environment.
  • Hours of work - Full-time hours on rotating 4 day schedule. Diesel shop operates six days a week.

  • Tire and wheel certification.
Employment/Selection Criteria
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 1 year tractor/trailer repair experience or equivalent technical school training.
  3. Factory related training courses.
  4. Company provided blood borne training.
